Child Nutrition Update & Survey

Greetings Sultan School District families. Many of you have participated in the food delivery and walk-up serving options we have conducted since mid-March. Today we received guidance from USDA that they will be extending this service option of making meals (breakfast & lunch) available free of charge to all children birth to 18 years thru 12/31/2020. While this is certainly great news, it is tempered by the fact that we will not be able to utilize school buses to provide the door to door delivery services like you may have enjoyed in the Spring. In its place, we will be bringing meals to several central locations in our communities where parents can go to receive their child’s meals. Walk up service will still be available at both Sultan Middle School and Gold Bar Elementary between 11:30 – 12:30 daily.

Finally, while we will be beginning the year with all meals being free for everyone, I do need your assistance in completing the 2020-21 school year application you recently received. At some point we will revert back to the normal food service operations with meals charges being dependent on ability to pay and this document is critical to ensure you are classified correctly.

The following survey is designed to help us plan and to gauge interest on who(m) will be participating:

Question Title

* 1. What grade(s) are your children?
