EMS Instructor Course – January–February 2026

Are you ready to take the next step in your EMS career? We’re offering an opportunity for motivated providers who want to become EMS Instructors and help shape the next generation of EMTs and paramedics!

This course prepares you to teach effectively in both classroom and lab settings through interactive sessions on lesson planning, evaluation, and student engagement.

Participants must attend all class sessions and complete all assignments to graduate the course.

EMS Instructor Course Schedule:
Class Session 1: (21 Jan 2026) In-Person -1800–2200
Class Session 2: Self-Directed Learning - Asynchronous
Class Session 3: (28 Jan 2026) In-Person 1800–2200
Class Session 4: (4 Feb 2026) Virtual 1800–2200
Class Session 5: (11 Feb 2026) In-Person - 1800–2200
Class Session 6: (25 Feb 2026) Virtual 1800–2200
Class Session 7: (28 Feb 2026) In-Person - 0800–1700
Class Session 8: (7 Mar 2026) In-Person - 0800–1700

Location: AMED EMS Training Institute - 106 Reimer St, Altoona PA

Course Fee: $300.00

All participants must collect and submit a letter of recommendation form a supervisor or Chief Officer. Participants will also need a letter of endorsement and sponsorship from your home agency that confirms that you are an employee or member in good standing with your home agency. Please scan and upload those into the collector.

Payment Requirement:
I understand that my seat in the EMS Instructor Course will not be secured until payment has been received in full. Failure to complete payment may result in forfeiture of my seat in the class.

Course Completion & Qualification:
I acknowledge that attendance and participation in the course do not guarantee successful completion or issuance of an EMS Instructor qualification. Successful completion requires meeting all academic, performance, and participation standards as outlined by the course instructors and the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of EMS.

Post-Course Certification Requirement:
I understand that upon successful completion of the EMS Instructor Course, I must complete a minimum of 20 hours of monitored instruction under the supervision of an approved EMS Educational Institute before my instructor certification can be finalized and issued.
