The Texas Parks and Recreation Foundation is accepting applications from undergraduate and graduate students majoring in parks and recreation and related fields. The $1,000 scholarship was established in memory of Parks and Recreation legend Jack O. Ashworth Sr. and his son Jack, Jr.

Applicants must be enrolled in a Texas university or college.
Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to attend the Texas Recreation and Park Society Annual Conference to accept the award. The conference dates are February 27 - March 1, 2024 in Galveston, Texas.
