2021 NISC Annual Programs of Excellence Awards - Highlighted Category - Addressing Social Isolation

For the purpose of recognizing program excellence, the NISC Annual Programs of Excellence Awards contest has been designed to honor and promote the outstanding efforts made by senior centers to enhance program offerings to older adults. This award is available to all senior centers.
This survey is for the Addressing Social Isolation highlighted category only.
The issue of social isolation became very apparent during the pandemic. Highlight a program that addressed, reduced, and/or prevented social isolation during this difficult time. (i.e. pen pal program, virtual happy hours, etc.)

The issue of social isolation became very apparent during the pandemic. Highlight a program that addressed, reduced, and/or prevented social isolation during this difficult time. (i.e. pen pal program, virtual happy hours, etc.)
Submit information about your program that increased social engagement conducted in a senior center between July 1, 2020 and December 21, 2021 are eligible for awards. Judges will look for programs that are innovative, creative, and easily replicated.
A $300 cash prize will go to the winner of the Addressing Social Isolation category. The award will go to the senior center or related friends group at the national conference.
Remember that you can also apply in one of the six general categories in addition to submitting an application for this year's special highlighted area of Addressing Social Isolation. Cash prizes of $100 will be made to award winners in each of the six program categories. (Apply for one of these general categories via this survey link.) Prize money will awarded to the senior center or related friends group at the annual conference.
