TUSD 6-12 Grade STEM Design Team Application

Thank you for your interest in joining TUSD's PreK-12 STEM Pathway project. We are currently seeking design team members for the 6-12 grade teams. As a part of a team, you will design STEM Quad D units centered on Computer Science and Engineering Design Challenges. Math and Science lead teachers will be assisted by ELA/ELD, SpEd, Computer Science and other experts.

These units will be grounded in the CA Science and Math Frameworks, with attention to the literacy standards for each of those areas. Two units will be created for grade 6 students; 2 each will be created for Grade 7 Science, Grade 8 Science, HS Bio, HS Chem, and HS Physics; and 2 each for Grade 7 Math, Grade 8 Math, Alg 1, Alg II and Geometry.

Math and Science teachers will work for three weeks, June 1-19, six hours each weekday, and be paid at the extra services rate. ELA, ELD, SpEd, and other expert consulting teachers will work for two weeks, June 8 - 19, six hours each weekday and be paid at the extra services rate.

Complete this survey to show your interest in joining the 6-12 grade STEM Pathway design teams. Deadline for completing this survey is March 20, 2020.
