Scholarship Overview
Applicants to the APRO Charitable Foundation Scholarship Fund must be employed in rent-to-own or be a child of a rent-to-own employee. The affiliated rent-to-own company must be a member in good standing of each association or group to which they apply.
All application and financial materials must be submitted by March 31, 2026, at 5 PM CT.
Online applications are automatically time-stamped upon submission.
Once submitted, the application is final.

Scholarship recipients are selected based on four key criteria:

- Financial need
- Academic merits
- Charitable/civic/community involvement
- Essay quality
Recipients will receive two payment installments:
- The first payment will be in August 2026 (once recipient has provided APRO with their proof of enrollment and a headshot photo).
- The second payment will be made after APRO receives proof of Fall GPA and spring schedule (depending on graduation date). Cumulative GPA must be above 3.0 for universities or above 2.5 for trade schools.
