The ACR quality measure development project DXA: Improving Reporting of True Change in Bone Mineral Density is intended to improve the clinical management of patients undergoing serial DXA through standardized reporting of bone mineral density (BMD) change to enable clinicians to discern true biological change from unavoidable measurement variation. The measure is under development by the ACR Technical Expert Panel (TEP), with oversight by the Commission on Quality and Safety’s Metrics Committee, 

During this 30-day public comment period, we are specifically interested in receiving input on the measure's feasibility in practice, data capture, and ability to measure the intended actions, among other measure-specific questions. We request that comments include specific details on the quality measure to ensure it is actionable and useable in practice.
