Business schools educate tomorrow’s business and organizational leaders and have a powerful impact on the world. Business school graduates are leading organizations that the rest of humanity is interacting with on a daily basis and therefore impact everyone. The type of business education they receive greatly influences how they lead and what the organizations they lead do.

We acknowledge a world in which isolation, depression and anxiety are increasing, current leaders are failing, environmental destruction is endangering the survival of our and other species and education is not a source of transformation.

The signatories affirm the following:
We are committed to creating a world that works for 100% of humanity. Achieving this goal will require transforming business education to foster humanistic leaders who honor individual dignity, demonstrate the courage to care for others and work toward shared well-being on a healthy planet.

We are committed to transforming and transcending our current world to create educational experiences that allow people to be Fully Human- enlightened, enlivened, and empowered to be leaders who are competent, courageous, caring and creating positive change.

We are committed to enabling a world where humans are ends in themselves, deeply connected to self, others, nature, and something (or someone) bigger than ourselves.

We are committed to a concept of dignity, freedom and success that understands that we all depend on creating a world in which all flourish and all prosper. Organizations serve humanity best when they recognize our individual dignity and enhance our interconnectedness.

We are committed to a new paradigm for business education and leadership. In this new paradigm, students who graduate from business programs and leaders in organizations of all sorts are able to:
  • Be creative, innovative, and resilient
  • Care for people they work with and lead
  • Transform existing organizations to better serve society
  • Create dignified work
  • Build organizations that strengthen community and love
  • Co-create entrepreneurial and business ventures that heal the world
For business school professors:
We commit to contribute to this transformation by developing programs, curriculum, course materials, personal development opportunities, and scholarship that speaks to this vision. We are committed to creating the space for everyone in our classrooms and beyond to have a voice and discover what is wanted and needed to generate personal and societal transformation and become the best leaders for the world they can be.

For business school leaders/administration:
We commit to contribute to this transformation by championing programs, curriculum, course materials, marketing materials, partnerships, and scholarship that speak to this vision. We are committed to creating the space for everyone in our classrooms and beyond to have a voice and discover what is wanted and needed to generate personal and societal transformation and become the best leaders for the world they can be.

For business school students:
We commit to full participation in our education as co-creators of programs, dialogues, clubs, conversations, and personal development opportunities that speak to this vision.  We recognize that our behavior must set an example of integrity, eliciting trust and esteem from those we serve.  We are committed to creating the space for everyone in our interactions to have a voice and to discover what is needed for personal and societal transformation.  We commit to hold ourselves, our professors, and our schools account
