Course Evaluation Survey Once you've chosen the type of survey, you need to decide which type of questions to include. The type of question determines what level of data can be collected, which in turn affects what you can do with that data. For example, if you ask about age and fix the answer as a number (21, 34, 42), you will get numerical data with which you can perform mathematical operations. If you ask about the age group (18-24, 25-34, 35-44), you will get orderly categorical data: you will be able to calculate how many people were in each group, but you will not be able to know the average age of respondents. Before you create a questionnaire, it's important to decide how you want to analyze the final results to pick up the types of questions that will give you the right data for that analysis or pay for a research paper.Open questions (or questions requiring detailed answers) are used when you want to collect detailed quality data. You ask a person a question without offering an answer to the choice. Often it's a good way to learn new ideas that you might or may not even know they exist. In a closed question, a limited number of answers are offered. Closed questions are used when you already know which categories the answers will be distributed, or you're only interested in the frequency of individual responses. OK Question Title * 1.
