The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents are excited to announce that the Leadership Institute for School Principals, having successfully served more than 250 Kentucky school principals in its first five years, has agreed to expand its offerings to include a program exclusively for Kentucky superintendents. The program, led by the internationally acclaimed Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) will provide executive-level leadership development and establish a network to help principals and superintendents create a common language. The program curriculum is designed to assist each superintendent in evaluating and understanding him/herself as a leader, in clearly assessing his/her leadership needs, and in assembling a plan of action for achieving leadership excellence. During the training, June 21-23, 2016 in Greensboro, N.C., superintendents will be provided the opportunity to explore their individual strengths and developmental needs as leaders through the use of assessments including Benchmarks, a 360° assessment and self-assessments. Superintendents will participate in experiential activities that allow them to practice new behaviors to implement when they return to their districts. Each participant will also experience one-on-one feedback with a personal coach. Each confidential coaching session covers individual assessment data for personal and professional development. This type of personalized coaching is typically only available to top business CEOs to increase personal and professional effectiveness as a leader, team leader, and team player. During the process, superintendents will: • Develop a clear vision of leadership strengths and developmental needs; • Develop effective interpersonal and relationship skills; • Deepen self-confidence and sense of potency as a leader; • Determine how to enhance the learning processes necessary for effective strategy making and strategy implementation within the Kentucky school system; • Increase appreciation of the impact of organizational context, culture and systems on strategic leadership. The fee is $5,000 and superintendents may register here. Because we need a minimum of 20 superintendents for a cohort at the June session, we must have your registration by March 7 EXTENDED. Assuming we can assemble a cohort, participation will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Again, we are excited to partner to offer this program to not only school principals, but now to superintendents across the Commonwealth. If you have questions regarding the program, please contact Kelly Wolf at 502-848-8725 or via email at kwolf@kychamber.com.
