Dear Parents,

CFWA are developing a series of short films for carers of people with cystic fibrosis (CF).  We intend to include the perspectives from a range of different carers such as parents, grandparents, siblings and partners of people with CF from our community. The aim of these films is to provide support through the ages by answering questions from the “lived experience”.

We have put together a list of potential topics that we think might be relevant however, we would greatly appreciate your feedback as to the relevance and priority of these topics:

1.      Diagnosis – This topic would cover the emotional impact of diagnosis
and the advice carers would suggest to other parents
2.      Infection Control – This short film would discuss how infection control
         affects routines and relationships
3.      Wellbeing – This topic covers the tools carers use to manage their own
         emotional and physical wellbeing
4.      Milestones and Separation – This short film discusses varying life
events and the strategies carers have implemented to suit their
         situation.
5.      Routines and Adherence – This topic covers how carers manage the
treatment of CF and tips for the trickier aspects of adherence.
