ABOUT THE MORGANTON DDA
The Morganton Downtown Development Association (a.k.a. DDA), originated in 1985 as a membership based organization for local merchants and business owners in Downtown Morganton, NC. With a primary focuses of advocacy, lobbying, and sponsorship, membership in the DDA also offers a unique networking opportunity with local business owners who face similar challenges and successes.
ABOUT THE DOWNTOWN DISTINGUISHED AWARDS The objective of the Morganton DDA Downtown Distinguished Awards is to recognize, honor and spotlight the members businesses that are the heartbeat of our downtown.
VOTING The Board Members of the Morganton DDA invite you the public to tell us who you believe should be recognized for their excellence in Downtown Morganton. Each category will recognize one DDA Member Business to spotlight completely based on the number of public votes received. Voting will be open Tuesday, May 4 – Monday, May 17 until 12 noon.
WINNERS ANNOUNCED Winners will be announced at the Tuesday, June 22nd DDA Awards at the Morganton Community House. Award ceremony will be from 5:30-7:00pm. We are inviting the community to celebrate, recognize, and spotlight the winners that are the heartbeat of our downtown. Please share the opportunity to vote with friends. Lets spread our support and really show the local love for our most distinguished downtown DDA businesses!
WINNERS RECEIVE Press release, social media coverage, banner to hang in your office, trophy, recognition at awards ceremony. In addition to a press release business will receive specified ad space in the News Herald.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the DDA Awards the business must have been open between July 1, 2020 – March 1, 2021. The business must be a current DDA member.
