How would you characterize your attitudes toward speaking and presentations? I dont do presentations or speak in public. I speak up in small groups and will complete the basic requirements for a presentation. I like to work in small groups, feel comfortable expressing my ideas in public, and like to practice my presentations several times. I like to read directly from my essay and not have any notes at all. I like to work in groups, but I usually listen more that I speak. For presentations, I like to read my notes directly from a paper and not to look at my audience. I like to lead groups and can speak in front of small and large groups. I like to look at my audience and read thier feedback. Question Title * 8. What is your manner of preparing for a speech presentation? I dont prepare for a speech. I worte the paper, With a brief outline, I am able to talk about the content easily and confidently. I prepare a little and try to memorize parts that are important. I practice what im going to say outloud and add visuals when necessary during my practice.I feel it is important to get the general idea across and re-inforce it with a visual, but not necessarily using the exact words as are in my paper. I need my paper in front of me so that I can read directly off it, because I feel it is more important to communicate an exact idea to my audience than it is to make an impression of myself for the audience. I dont do presentations and therefore, I dont prepare for them. Question Title * 9. How would you characterize yourself as a listener? Most interactions between people are meaningless and I listen only close enough to respond. I listen when Im interested in the topic. I listen to information that is necessary to remember I write down what I listen to so that I will remember. Question Title * 10.
