Young Professional Conservation Corps Interest Form

Hello there!

Please fill out the form below if you are interested in becoming a Young Professional Conservation Corps volunteer member with Constitution Marsh Audubon and the Hudson Valley Sanctuaries.

Volunteers will receive a calendar each month and can choose their own schedules, notifying the Program Manager, Lexi Klahn, on what work opportunities they are interested in participating in. Program opportunities take place at Constitution Marsh in Putnam County, Buttercup Farms Sanctuary in Dutchess County, Rheinstrom Hill Audubon in Columbia County, and Ramshorn-Livingston Sanctuary in Greene County.

This volunteer group is for high school, college, and young professionals ages 16 – 28 who are interested in learning about conservation work through hands-on field experience. Our Young Professional Conservation Corps members have the opportunity to participate in forest, marsh, and grassland bird surveys; forestry health inventories; deer monitoring studies; marsh migration research; climate change research; invasives species monitoring; and environmental education.

As volunteer members participate in field work, they will learn more about bird identification, plant and tree identification, climate change models, GIS mapping, scientific communication, statistical analysis, and much more. No previous experience or knowledge is required - just a passion for the environment, a positive attitude, and an enjoyment of outdoor work.

This volunteer program provides a safe and supportive space for you to learn about the environment, participate in conservation work, build your resume or college applications, and meet like-minded peers.
