APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
  • APPLICATION DEADLINE: Monday, January 4, 2021 at 11:59pm (PST). 
  • Participants will be notified by Friday, February 5, 2021.
  • You CANNOT save your work and come back at a later time. We recommend you write all essay responses in another document and paste them into the online application. You can download the application questions here before applying online. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE APPLICATION QUESTIONS.
  • You must complete the entire application to apply for the ACTIVATE program. Partially completed applications will not be reviewed.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Participants must live or work in LA County.
  • Participants must be able to commit to all sessions.
  • Participants will be selected to represent the broad geography and demographics of Los Angeles County.
  • Participants must be 18 years or older to apply.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
  • Sponsoring Organization. All applicants must secure the approval of the sponsoring organization (i.e. the organization that would, potentially, implement the project or proposal developed by the Innovator). While Innovators do not need to be employed by the sponsoring organization, each application must include a “point person” from the sponsoring organization who is 1) aware of the project and 2) willing to spend 1-2 hours/per month providing feedback on the Innovator’s evolving project.
  • Attend Monthly Sessions. The three-hour monthly sessions will take place digitally or in-person - subject to public health guidelines & regulations.
  • Monthly Meetings with Mentor. Arts Innovators will be responsible for scheduling one monthly meeting monthly with their assigned mentor.
  • Attend Online Issue Training. Arts Innovators may be asked to participate in one online issue training, dates TBD.
