The following is the selection process for the national yo-yo Hall of Fame inductees for 2024.
As in the past, there Will be three inductees for 2024.
The executive committee will take nominations from October through December of 2024 by completing and submitting this form.
Anyone can submit a person for nomination for the national yo-yo Hall of Fame. Only two nominations per person are allowed. One nomination is for a "Golden Age" player (active before 1965), and one is for an at-large player. The nominated individuals must have been active in the sport/hobby for at least ten years and have significantly contributed to the sport. They do not have to be a member of The Academy of Yo-Yo Arts, nor do they have to be living. You can nominate a "golden age" player in both categories.
The three individuals in each category with the most public nominations will automatically be part of the finalist pool; the executive committee will select two more for the "golden age" category and seven for the at-large category from the nominees' pool to make up the finalist pools.
The Academy of Yo-Yo Arts members will vote in February. They will select one Golden Age inductee and two at-large inductees from the finalist pools. The executive committee will announce the inductees in March. Awards and induction will happen at the National Yo-Yo championships.
If you would like to nominate somebody for the 2024 national yo-yo Hall of Fame, please submit this form. There is no better way to thank individuals who have impacted and influenced the sport/hobby of yo-yoing.
This is also your opportunity to select the World Bandalorist Society's player of the year and yo-yo of the year. This is decided by popular vote. Only one vote per person. Winners announced in January.
