Rainbow Alley's Free Tutoring Program

Interest Form

Rainbow Alley is in the beginning stages of starting a tutoring program for our LGBTQIA+ youth ages 10-17 years old. We understand that our youth can experience many hurdles when navigating through the grade school environment, so we want to make it easier for them to get the most out of their education. We are currently researching the needs and interests of families and groups around the area for this service. If you know of any other organizations that may be interested, please feel free to spread the word. We are actively looking for any facilitators, so any thoughts or ideas are most welcome.
1.Do you know a young person who identifies as LGBTQIA+ who struggles in any of their classes?
2.If you confirmed above, how many youth would you say are struggling in school?
3.Do you believe there are barriers that prevent LGBTQIA+ youth from performing their best in school?
4.If yes was answered in the previous question, what do you believe these barriers are?
5.Do you believe they would benefit from a free tutoring service that is led by other LGBTQIA folx?
6.What subjects are the most challenging for the student(s)?
7.Would you be able to drop off the student Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays 5-7pm for the program?
8.Do you have any other suggestions that could help our LGBTQIA+ youth in school?
9.If this program is of interest to you, please leave your EMAIL as we will be sending updates on the progress of this free tutoring program.
