Caring responsibilities of Costs Lawyers

The CLSB’s research on Pathways into the Profession showed that almost 50% of Costs Lawyers have caring responsibilities for an adult, children or both.

We want to hear from you about whether caring responsibilities may affect your work as a Costs Lawyer, to what extent, and what further support you would like to see for Costs Lawyers with caring responsibilities. We’re keen to hear from all Costs Lawyers on this important topic, even if you don’t currently have caring responsibilities yourself.

This short survey contains 11 questions and should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete.

Please answer all questions if you currently have caring responsibilities. If you do not currently have caring responsibilities, please answer questions 1, 9, 10 and 11.

A carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The support provided can range from help with shopping, meal preparation and domestics tasks to personal care such as dressing and bathing.
