Te Ara Kakariki - Volunteer Plantout Days

Welcome to the Te Ara Kākāriki 2026 Volunteer Planting Days!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Te Ara Kākāriki. Our annual planting days are a fantastic opportunity to help restore Canterbury's native landscapes, improve habitats for local wildlife, and connect with others who are passionate about conservation.

This form allows you to register your interest in one or more of our upcoming planting days:

Saturday 5 September – Lower Catchment
Saturday 19 September – Lower Catchment
Saturday 10 October – Upper Catchment

The survey should only take a few minutes to complete. Once you've registered, we'll send you all the information you need closer to the event, including meeting locations, what to bring, and any updates relating to the day.

Whether you're a returning volunteer or joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you on board. Thank you for helping us restore and reconnect Canterbury's native ecosystems—we look forward to planting with you!

This year the Lower Catchment days will be self-drive, we will however be providing a bus for our Upper Catchment Plantout (10th Oct). There will be a pickup location in Christchurch and one in Selwyn (likely Lincoln). Please indicate below whether you would like to utilise the bus service or if you would prefer to self-drive to the Upper Catchment Plantout.
