BLACKBEARD FUTURE PLANNING PROJECT

The Long Range Planning Committee is re-surveying our membership on what they feel are most important club projects to effort and dollars toward.
Please review the following projects and the description of what each project entails to help you understand and answer the following short survey.
Blackbeard Sailing Club Master Site Plan Project List
Rebuild B Dock- Rebuild includes:
a) Wave Attenuation outside of B dock
b) Dock Groin to reduce silt accumulation in slips.
c) Rebuilding of B Dock Slips including pilings, concrete decking, utilities and dredging.
Annex utilities and roadway- To provide better access, water electric service and to better define storage areas.
Camper Sites- Provide defined areas for weekend regatta participants RV parking with appropriate utilities.
Event Pavilion- Facility for social gatherings and other club related activities.
Youth Sailing Center- Facility for instruction, equipment storage and sailing camp gatherings separate from other club facilities. * Location to be determined.
Clubhouse Expansion/Renovations- To accommodate larger gatherings, kitchen upgrades, office space, restrooms and improved access.
New Workshop- To accommodate the activity that now takes place under the clubhouse and picnic shelter including club equipment storage.
Raised Deck Structure- Gathering area adjacent to the water for small group socializing and class instruction
Agar Lot- Upgrading the parking lot outside of our gate.
Additional boat launch ramp
Mooring field outside the marina.
