28th Annual TNP Conference Session F02 Evaluation-Treating Obesity in Primary Care Current Status

The objectives for this session were:
1. Discuss the current prevalence of obesity in the United States.
2. Identify the major behavioral, environmental, and genetic factors influencing the rise of obesity in this country.
3. Describe the biochemical brain connection in relationship to appetite control and calorie consumption. 4. Describe the physiologic impact of utilizing the multimodal management of obesity , including diet, exercise, pharmacotherapy, and surgery. 
All of the identified objectives were met satisfactorily.(Required.)
