The Adirondack Business Council, of the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce, will be presenting awards to deserving member businesses for their achievements in business, economic and quality of life contributions to our area. The nominee must be an ARCC member in good standing. 

Nominations are being accepted for the following categories:

ADK Large Business of the Year Award
Recognition of an established business of 51 or more employees.


ADK Professional Business of the Year Award
Recognition of an established professional business (accountants, attorneys, doctors, architects, engineers, etc.) of 2 to 50 employees.


Steven M. Sutton Small Business of the Year Award
Recognition of an established business of 2 to 50 employees who exhibits an entrepreneur spirit.


ADK Rookie Business of the Year Award
Recognition of a business in existence for three years or less, that shows great promise and potential for continued success and has at least 2 but no more than 50 employees. This business should exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit while showing signs of staying power.

 
ADK Independent Business of the Year Award
Recognition of an established business that is individually owned and operated, not supported or backed by corporations (i.e. no franchises). This business will have no employees leased or otherwise and should exhibit a commitment to the region.


ADK Nonprofit Organization of the Year Award
Recognition of a not-for-profit 501c3 business whose organizational mission is reflective of community needs and has demonstrated outstanding contributions to the community’s quality of life.


Legacy Award
NEW for 2019 - Recognition of a longstanding business who has made considerable contributions to the regional economy and health of the business community. This business should be distinguished with a positive track record of performance.

 
Please note: all active ARCC Members are eligible for nomination, however, a business cannot win a category twice in the same five year period. In order to be considered, form must be legible and completed in full. Self-nominations (including self, spouse, immediate family member, person financially vested in business) will not be accepted.
