GTR has facilitated trainings in Haiti for over 7 years. This is the application for the 2019 Haiti Trauma Project. December 09-23, 2019

PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS/ INFO CAREFULLY. The deadlines are in close proximity, therefore, please confirm that you can make payments at the dates requested before applying.

All Grades Holiday Party – December 20, 2019
Beach Day - December 21-22, 2019
Departure – December 23, 2019

*Applications for trainers and volunteers are due by September 16, 2019 at 11:59pm.

For your information:
· A face-to-face or over the phone interview is required, and will be scheduled from September 17-23, 2019.
· Volunteer/ informational packets will be emailed to those who are selected for this trip.
· Space is limited, please fill out applications and return them quickly.
· Round-trip flights to Haiti are approx. $500.00- $700.00
· Accommodations are $75 per day (which includes food, transportation, and lodging)
· For all those selected, a non-refundable registration fee of $350 is required by October 25, 2019; and all accommodation fees and flight itineraries are due by November 4, 2019 (plus applicable fees).
· It is also recommended that travelers bring extra money for tourism activities.
· Scholarship opportunity: If you are a returning traveler, please submit a 500-word essay with your application, describing the trip’s impact on your life.
· Please BE AWARE: If you attend this trip, you travel at your own risk. Please consult with your PCP, be mindful, and take all safety precautions when traveling and while staying at the compound.

* 5. There are multiple ways to get involved in the 2019 trip/ Please select all that apply:

Fundraising: Involves looking for financial and resource support. This includes, but not limited to: Gifts for the kid's holiday party, supplies for the mental health training, and monetary contributions to feed the participants.

Mental Health Training: If you have at least a Master's Degree in counseling or a related field, and at least two years post Master's experience, you may be one of the co-trainers.

Volunteer: For individuals interested in helping with other needs unrelated to the mental health trainings; such as painting, gardening, food distribution, cleaning, etc.

Children's Activities: This involves daily activities with the orphanage, the children's holiday party, etc.
