Question Title

1. AOPA received very positive feedback with respect to our 2009 meeting in Seattle, Washington, with lots of folks expressing interest in our scheduling another meeting in the Pacific Northwest. The hotels/convention center in Seattle are more interested in groups larger than AOPA, so prospects of returning there are between slim and none. As we have looked at Portland, the ability to book sufficient hotel rooms in easy distance to the convention center is very limited. The third city we have investigated is Vancouver, which has been most promising. While only about 200 miles from Seattle, Vancouver--which has hosted several prior O&P meetings, including ISPO and CAPO--is in Canada, with the primary impact of that being that registrants would need to have a passport, and suppliers would need to work with a customs broker that AOPA would designate to facilitate easy movement of their equipment and freight into and out of Canada. If we were positively inclined to hold a meeting in Vancouver, we would do our best to coordinate with CAPO to try to work toward a larger joint U.S./Canadian meeting.

If the 2018 AOPA National Assembly were held in Vancouver, British Columbia, possibly jointly with CAPO, would you attend?
