Cancellation of Metalcasting Congress

After purposeful consideration, the American Foundry Society made the difficult decision to cancel Metalcasting Congress 2020. This outcome became unavoidable after the Ohio Governor prohibited large public gatherings.

Since so many foundry personnel, suppliers, casting buyers, and students rely on Metalcasting Congress as the most anticipated event on their annual calendar, this was an especially difficult choice. Yet, it is the right course of action for the well-being of our registrants, exhibitors and AFS professional staff.

We know that the current economic slowdown poses new sources of uncertainty in your business planning. Although the Metalcasting Congress had to be cancelled, AFS is committed to supporting our membership and the metalcasting community in every possible way in the weeks and months ahead.

AFS is preparing to refund 100 percent of applicable fees to exhibitors.  Recognizing that the cancellation of Metalcasting Congress resulted in the loss of a large source of operating revenue for AFS, some exhibitors have asked about contributing a portion of their refund back to AFS. If you are interested in contributing some portion of your exhibitor refund back to AFS, please complete the below form.
