2026 Crime Prevention & Tenant Safety Award

This award recognizes a rental housing company or staff person who has been innovative and conscientious to create more secure buildings, with less likelihood of crime. The award-winning rental housing provider has demonstrated leadership and dedication to crime prevention and tenant safety.

This individual or company confirmed their commitment to keep tenants and communities safe by some, or all, of these initiatives:

- Preventing crime through infrastructure improvements, i.e., brighter lighting, better door astragals, locking exterior lobby doors on a timer etc.;
- Increasing security with security cameras or security staff patrols;
providing clear tenant education and, helping to foster a positive community within the building; and/or
- Developing an active partnership with Saskatoon Police and Crime Free Multi-Housing by attending crime prevention trainings and/or communicating when criminal acts arise.
