POETIC LICENSE - RESIDENCY - THE BOWERY THEATRE |
The Poetic License Residency is a creative development residency program open to young Brimbank local writers and artists aged 16 – 27 to create new work with original content by a lead creative team comprising of pioneer of Australian comedy and social activist Rod Quantock, Speed Rapper and Beat Box champion Kevin Nugara and Director and Performer Irine Vela. The residency will examine the power and limitations of words and generate writing for performance in all its forms; spoken word, poetry, rap, freestyle and song. The creative development residency will occur over two weeks and culminate in a FREE performance at the Bowery Theatre on Friday 16th November at 7:30pm.
