Our Sault Ste. Marie Downtown Association (DTA) is a local entity which reports to the City of Sault Ste Marie. Our association is regulated by a board consisting of elected professionals. Our Membership consists of building owners who lease accommodations to retail, hospitality, commercial, healthcare, tourism and residential tenants. The membership fee is in the format of a tax levi which is a percentage of property tax determined by the City of Sault Ste Marie, based upon the Board of Directors recommendation of the annual budget.
The boundaries of the Sault Ste. Marie Downtown Association are: Pim St. to Dennis St. all along the front of Queen Street East, unlike the City of Sault Ste Marie's definition of downtown: Waterfront to Wellington St., East St. (Bushplane Museum) to Huron St. (Mill Square).
We believe our Membership and Volunteer Board can do great things together. This survey will take approximately 10 minutes, and is anonymous. Personal information will not be identified with any results unless you choose to self identify.
The Downtown Association is a team. We understand the power in numbers, and the more positive communication we can gather, the better our future together will be.
