Purpose
The purpose of PACE is to build the civic engagement skills of emerging community leaders.
 
Selection Process and Criteria
PACE participants are selected through a competitive process conducted by Seattle Department of Neighborhoods (DON) staff.

There will be more applicants than positions available. At least 20 individuals will be chosen each quarter based on criteria that include the following:
  • Commitment to civic involvement in the city of Seattle.
  • The potential for leadership in community and neighborhood organizations.
  • An individual’s experience and skills.
  • Geographic distribution from all City districts and cultural diversity are also important considerations in the selection of participants.
Tuition
Tuition for each participant in PACE is $100. Tuition is payable upon receipt of invoice after acceptance into the program and must be paid by the start of the quarter.
