Napier City Council’s elected members have set draft community outcomes as part of Long Term Plan preparation. They are now seeking feedback on those community outcomes.
Council's Long Term Plan is a 10-year roadmap of service delivery and activities. Before budgets are set or projects prioritised, council needs to know what the community wants to achieve.
Community outcomes help map out those goals. They are the things that matter most to the community for social, economic, environmental, and cultural wellbeing, now and into the future. The council shapes its plans around what it hears through feedback on these outcomes.
Council’s draft community outcomes are:
1. Connected to our community
2. Infrastructure we are proud of
3. Affordable and financially sustainable
4. Services and facilities that earn their place
5. Prepared and protected
6. Vibrant, growing and welcoming
