Coburg North Primary School is looking at offering an in-school chess program next year. The program would be taken by a chess tutor and lessons would run at lunchtime or afterschool. The program would cater for all students from absolute beginners to accomplished players. The sessions would involve tuition as well as time to play chess and use the ideas learnt in that session.
The cost would be $10 per student per lesson and would be paid upfront on a termly basis. There is a minimum of 8 students per lesson and a maximum of 30.
The school is wanting to gauge the community interest in these chess sessions.
