GCDD's State Plan (2027-2031) Goals and Objectives - Public Comment

The mission of the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) is to bring about social and policy changes that promote opportunities for the wide spectrum of diverse Georgians with developmental disabilities and their families to live, learn, lead, work, play and worship in their communities.

Every 5 years, we are required to complete a new strategic plan. We welcome your comments and feedback on the Goals and Objectives that have been prepared for our upcoming Five Year State Plan. Deadline for comments is Friday, June 19, 2026.

There are three broad goals with objectives for each goal. The goals represent GCDD's vision of what we would like to see for the lives of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. The objectives represent the areas of work GCDD will focus on to achieve the goal.

We would like to know what you think about each of them. Are these items a good fit for GCDD and Georgia as we move forward? Please take a few minutes to share your opinions.
