Marijuana Business Daily (MJBizDaily), the largest and most professional producer of news and trade shows serving executives and major investors in America's $6 billion cannabis industry, is seeking an Event Registration Manager This is a full-time position reporting directly to Event Operations Director and is based in our Denver office, offering a competitive salary, paid time off, 401(k) and health benefits. The Registration Manager works as part of the Event Operations team to support and manage the in-house and onsite registration functions for three national conferences. ( The event website design and development will be managed though internal marketing and IT departments.  This position focuses on the registration software, registration process management and onsite event execution.

Event Registration
  • Serves as project lead with internal staff from various departments and outside vendors to develop, design, improve and manage registration technology and process for the three conferences
  • Determines project specifications and builds online registration with required fields to support the planning and implementation of the project
  • Collaborates with internal departments for any custom programming requirements
  • Serves as day-to-day contact for 3rd party registration vendor
  • Sets up internal registration process for all events
  • Reports weekly (or as needed) registration statistics for events
  • Proactively responds to and resolves registration issues/questions that arise
  • Actively works on technological/process improvements including the website and conference app
  • Work with finance team to ensure accurate and timely payment processing and reporting
  • Analyze registration data and trends to determine changes in patterns to attendee registration both prior to and onsite
  • Provides show-end detail reporting 

Onsite Show Management
  • Works within the Operations team to plan, organize and implement the conference registration layout, computer equipment, internet and various tech needs
  • Develop and lead the on-site registration process for both internal management and external customers
  • Manage onsite badging, registration materials and walk up registration process
  • Trains and provides oversight to between 50-100 onsite temporary staff to facilitate registration

 Conference Support
  • Serves as primary contact to internal customer service team, finance, or other internal clients for registration site-related questions and issues
  • Works closely with marketing and customer service to provide accurate registration related talking points, fact sheets and procedures for handling inquiries
  • Manage internal training process for coworkers who will be assisting onsite registration

  • 4 – 6 years’ experience in event registration, either in an association or corporate setting
  • Must be able to manage time and prioritize work effectively, be a team player, work independently, meet stringent deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Must be able to travel to three (3) annual events (includes weekends) with the potential for additional travel during the year
