The City of Paris is conducting a study to further the implementation of the adopted downtown revitalization plan to restore the original two way traffic system from the current one way system on all streets going into and out of downtown.

This first partial study is to determine the impact of replacing many of the traffic signals in downtown with stop signs. NO TRAFFIC DIRECTIONS will take place at this first study.

The plan includes placing stop signs at many intersections in and leading up to downtown.  The traffic signals at those locations will change to “flashing red” to simulate an all-way stop condition.
