Dear parent/caregiver,
This research is being carried out by the Research Division at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge, and the Department of Primary Education at the University of the Aegean.
This questionnaire will ask you a series of questions about your relationship with the school/s that your children attend. Specifically, it asks about your thoughts on the assessments and tests that your children take, and their usefulness. It also asks how you are informed and supported in knowing about your children’s progress. The research is being conducted in two countries – the United Kingdom and Greece. We anticipate that the questionnaire will take about 10 minutes to complete.
Any data that is collected will be held anonymously and will not be traceable back to you. You are free to withdraw from the research until the point you submit your responses at any time without giving reason.
Data will be stored in a secure location and will be password protected. Once the study is completed, the data will be kept securely by Cambridge University Press & Assessment so it can be used for future research and learning. The archived data will be anonymised to prevent identification of any individual participant.
It is hoped that the research will help future support for parents/caregivers and schools to help their children in making the most of their schooling.
For any questions, please contact Dr Simon Child (simon.child@cambridge.org), Dr Ourania Maria Ventista (o.ventista@rhodes.aegean.gr) or Professor Alivizos Sofos (lsofos@aegean.gr).
