We are asking young people to complete this survey even during this tough time, as the information provided will help us prepare for the time (and it will come), when we are on the other side and looking to the future.

Whilst you are at home, this may be a perfect time to fill out this survey. Your feedback and opinion are valued.

Somerset Regional Council has partnered with various agencies including CADA Inc, Uniting Care, Lutheran Services, headspace, Scripture Union (Chaplaincy Service), Save the Children and Somerset Health and Fitness, to look at child and youth wellbeing in the Kilcoy area.

This project focusses on how young people living in Kilcoy and surrounding districts feel about their community and environment, and how we may be able to help provide better supports and outcomes for young people.

We are asking for feedback from young people living in Kilcoy and surrounding district, aged 14 years – 21years years, to help us better understand how you feel about your community – what you love about living in Kilcoy, and some of the challenges you face living here.  The survey will be available for completion until 5pm Monday 20 April 2020.

This survey will take about 10 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.  Please feel free to give extra comments in the “Option to Comment” boxes.  If you do not have an opinion about a particular question, feel free to leave it blank.

If answering any of these questions has made you feel uncomfortable or upset and you’d like to speak to someone for emotional support, you can:
  • Talk to a safe and trusted adult in your life (at school, home or in the community)
  • Call Kids Helpline (1800 551 800) or 13 MH CALL (1300 642 255)
  • Visit these websites: eheadspace.org.au or youthbeyondblue.com
