Mission: To reward and recognize individuals who have achieved outstanding industrial craft workforce development.
GBRIA has given "Champion" Workforce Development Awards to individuals who have shown great influence in workforce development. These awards have included titles such as "Craft Workforce Development Champion Award", "Craft Educator Award" and "Hall of Fame Craft Workforce Development Award."

Educators, members of workforce development and many other individuals have been doing their part to grow, recruit and train for industrial craft careers.  It is because of these efforts that the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) would like to recognize these individuals for their hard work and achievements.  Considering what the industrial sector means for keeping the economy of Louisiana prosperous, we would like to recognize these individuals who are training the workforce of the future. Each individual may be nominated by a plant, a contractor or a group of plants and/or contractors to sponsor him/her.

Some items to consider when nominating an individual for these awards can include:

- An accomplishment in his/her field, i.e. an educator
- Lifetime/Career accomplishment
- Accomplishment of something innovative and large in scope
