The purpose of this research is an exploratory study to investigate the knowledge and utilization of green/sustainable design. This research is being conducted for a dissertation. The information gathered will be used for research publication only. It will help the investigators to gain more insight into the design and building industry’s knowledge and adoption of sustainable/green design. There is no potential risk involved in the study. This is an anonymous survey and all gathered information will remain confidential.

You can help us in this project by filling out the questionnaire. It should take 15 minutes to complete. Participation in this project is voluntary, and if you choose not to participate, this will in no way affect any interactions with the researchers or Eastern Michigan University. There is no anticipated direct benefit to participation, however, participation is appreciated, and will inform the profession. You will remain anonymous; once you complete the survey there will be no way to link you to your answers, therefore, there is no way to withdraw from the study after you submit the questionnaire. This research protocol and informed consent document has been reviewed and approved by the Eastern Michigan University Human Subjects Review Committee for use from June 30, 2010 to June 29, 2011.
