What is a strategic plan?

A strategic plan is a planning process which results in a document that articulates both the decisions made about the organization's goals and the ways in which the organization will achieve those goals. It is intended to guide the organization's leaders in their decision-making moving forward.   Organizations generally look three to five years ahead when engaged in strategic planning.

The AS Strategic plan will be our road map for the next 3 years; it will be the boards guiding document and will help the society achieve its vision regardless of a change in leadership or the membership base.
