Cattaraugus County was awarded funding through the New York State Department of State Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Program to undertake a county-wide pre-planning effort focused on the identification, inventory, and analysis of brownfield-affected areas. This initiative represents an important first step in understanding the extent and distribution of vacant, underutilized, and potentially contaminated properties across the County and positioning these areas for future planning and redevelopment.
