We invite you to apply to be a Student Volunteer at this year’s National Academy of Neuropsychology Annual Conference in Washington, DC. The 2021 conference will be held at the Washington Hilton from Wednesday, November 10 - Saturday, November 13. Students will be assigned to help with conference registration, workshop monitoring, CE scanning and various other activities beginning on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 9.
To be a Student Volunteer, you must be an active Trainee Member of NAN with current dues status at time of application (2021 dues paid). Membership applications can be obtained from the NAN main office (303-691-3694) or via download from the NAN website. Membership applicants are eligible for student volunteer positions.
Volunteer applications will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you are selected as a Student Volunteer, you will receive the following benefits in exchange for 12 to 14 hours of volunteer time:
- Free Conference registration
- Free hotel accommodations for 3 - 4 nights based on your volunteer schedule. (Rooms will be shared with other Student Volunteers).
Please carefully consider whether you are willing to commit to the required number of hours, and ensure that you are able to take that time off from school/work before applying. Failure to fulfill your obligation will result in you being charged for the hotel room and conference registration.
Please do not assume by sending in the application that you are automatically a Student Volunteer. Students who are accepted as volunteers will be notified in September 2021. Schedules will follow at a later date.
We encourage you to spread the word about the benefits of NAN Trainee membership, particularly the Student Volunteer opportunity, to other neuropsychology students in your graduate program who may not be familiar with the organization and its activities.
