Background and Purpose
BRPCC is certified by the Health and Human Services Department as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). As an FQHC, the Center is required to meet certain requirements for Board Governance. These include:
1. Must reasonably represent the population served by the Center with regard to race, national origin, age, sex, and economic status.
2. Must be comprised of individuals, a majority of whom are being served by the Center.
3. Must meet monthly.
In an attempt to ensure compliance with these requirements, the Nominating Committee, on a periodic basis, will request specific information on all potential and existing Board Members.
