Spring Ministry Equipping Training: Urban Alliance Network Leaders

Join us this spring for a ministry equipping training! Trainings will be held in hybrid format with unlimited Zoom seats and 15 in-person seats. These trainings will be offered in place of learning community meetings for the second quarter. Ministry leaders engaged in a Urban Alliance initiative should select at least one training to participate in. Feel free to share with anyone at your church or organization who might be interested in attending.

Connecting People To Community Resources: Referrals, Follow-up and Outreach
Did you know that 1 in 6 children in CT struggle with hunger or that only about half of people struggling with their mental health get treatment? There are many people in our local communities that need help connecting to needed services. This training will provide practical strategies for making referrals and offering follow-up. It will also provide tips and tools for effective outreach approaches that can be used to get information into the hands of those who need it most. Information about CT’s most commonly needed services will be provided.

Chasing Truth: Helping People Take Thoughts Captive
Did you know that our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors? 2 Corinthians 10:5 says that we are to, “take each thought captive and making it obedient to Christ.” This means aligning our thoughts and beliefs with Scripture. This training will provide practical tools that can be used personally or in care and counseling settings to help people become more aware of their thinking patterns and align them with the truth contained in God’s Word.
