City of Encinitas Proposed 4th of July El Camino Real Parade Survey

We want to hear from you!  The City of Encinitas is exploring the feasibility of holding a 4th of July Parade on El Camino Real on July 4, 2022.  As part of the feasibility study, the City is asking businesses, property owners, and property managers along El Camino Real to complete this survey.

The proposed parade route would start on El Camino Real at Towne Center Drive and end at Garden View Road.  It is anticipated that only the southbound lanes of traffic would be closed, however northbound traffic on El Camino Real would not be allowed to turn left through the parade route.

The Parade would be from 11am to approximately 1pm.  Closure of El Camino Real would begin at approximately 8:30am for event preparation.  It is expected that El Camino Real would reopen at approximately 2:00pm.

In addition, both directional lanes of Via Cantebria to include Towne Center Drive to El Camino Real would be closed for parade staging from 8:30am until approximately 1:30pm.  Westbound traffic on Garden View would also be closed during the duration of the parade.

The preliminary event site plan/map can be viewed here.
