Dear Parents/Guardians:

Thank you for your interest in Little Cubs Preschool at Marshall Public Schools.  Little Cubs Preschool programs offer learning opportunities for children in a play based learning environment, to gain both social and academic skills necessary for Kindergarten Readiness.

Little Cubs Preschool is a 4 Star Rated Parent Aware Program.  Four-star rated programs are excelling in the use of best practices in preparing kids for Kindergarten. We are also a Voluntary Pre-K program.  We offer FREE programming for all students who are four years old by September 1, 2022 due to VPK funding. VPK funding is based on state award on March 1, 2022. VPK funding covers 70 students, we ask each family to complete the 2022-2023 Free or Reduced Lunch application and possibly a Pathway Scholarship application. Free breakfast is also available to all four year old's.  Special needs students will need to complete a meal benefit lunch application to qualify for the free breakfast program.  Transportation is also included for four year olds.

Registration is now open for the 22-23 school year. Class size is limited, once spots are full, students will be added to a wait list. Students living in the Marshall district will be given first priority.  You will be notified by mail of your child’s class schedule by May 1 or earlier.  Full day programming will be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Parents are responsible for supplying snack once a month throughout the year for the class, Dixie cups for snack, school supplies and an extra pair of clothes.  Throughout the year there will also be special opportunities your child’s teacher will plan and ask for your help with supplying or providing items for.

Classroom Engagement Model is an innovation that Little Cubs Preschool participates in and we want to strengthen relationships with families.  We highly recommended that each family participate in ECFE classes; ECFE classes can help your child become comfortable at school.

We have two classrooms with bilingual staff who speak Spanish and English.

During the first week of school we will have an opportunity for you to visit the school and meet staff.
