17. Can you estimate (in weight or volume) how much waste was diverted from going to the landfill? If yes, state the results.

For example, ~2 pounds of leftover vegetables and fruit was composted per week via worm composting bin for 6 weeks for a total of 18 pounds of waste composted.

If estimating volume, a standard desk-side recycling bin holds about 7 gallons. For example, we emptied 2 blue bins per week for a total of 6 weeks, equating to 84 gallons of recyclables diverted from the landfill.
