funder survey research imageAt EPIC-Africa, we are committed to strengthening the infrastructure of philanthropy and civil society across the continent. We believe in the transformative power of African civil society organizations (CSOs), yet we know they are often constrained by a persistent challenge: the lack of reliable, accessible data.

Funders frequently struggle to find accurate, up-to-date information on CSOs, while CSOs face repetitive data requests and limited visibility. That’s why we created the African CSO Platform—a digital space built to elevate and empower African civil society.

Now, as more funders turn to the Platform to connect with CSOs, we’re ready to take it to the next level. And we need your input to make it happen.

📊 About the Survey

We invite you to take a short 20-minute survey to help us understand how funders like you discover, evaluate, and engage with CSOs.

By participating, you will:
✅Contribute to a smarter tool designed around your funding needs
✅ Save time and effort in sourcing and assessing CSOs
✅ Help shape the future of African philanthropy
✅ Gain early access to insights, tools, and an improved Platform

As a thank you, you’ll receive a copy of the survey findings and invitations to exclusive briefings and events.

👣 What to Expect

The survey will ask about:
- Your decision-making processes and data needs
- Challenges in finding or working with CSOs
- How the Platform can better support your work
- Features that would make it indispensable to your operations

The survey is available in English and French. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2025.

Your submission is only complete once you click "Submit" at the end of the survey.

We prioritize the confidentiality and security of the data we collect. The survey is anonymized, and responses will only be utilized to draw aggregate and summary analyses without referring to any organization by name. Read more about our data protection policy at:

Together, we can build a more connected, efficient, and impactful philanthropic landscape—one that truly serves Africa’s civil society.
