Marijuana Business Daily, the most trusted trade publisher serving serious business minded entrepreneurs and investors in America's $6 billion and growing cannabis industry, is seeking an inside sales executive to join our Denver based sales team. Founded in 2011, Marijuana Business Daily publishes exclusive daily news, a monthly print magazine and annual data-based research reports. The company also produces three annual trade shows: MJBizConNEXT in New Orleans in May, MJBizConINTL in Toronto in August and MJBizCon in Las Vegas in November.

Our inside sales executives play a fundamental role in helping us achieve our ambitious growth objectives in a booming market. Most target clients are in start-up or fast-growth mode and most do not have sophisticated marketing or trade show expertise. You will spend time working with these clients to help them determine the best marketing mix to optimize their ROI with MJBiz platforms. Leads are primarily incoming and are qualified prior to being handed off to the sales team.


You will be responsible for selling our full range of B2B media offerings including: 
  • trade show exhibit space
  • print magazine ads
  • digital sponsorship including email blasts
 
You should have strong empathetic listening skills. You should also be:
  • Goal-driven on both a personal and team level. You want to do your best work and receive recognition for accomplishments, as well as help your teammates achieve the same.
  • Detail oriented with excellent planning, time management and follow-up skills.
  • Able and willing to take responsibility for clients' satisfaction and personal job performance.
  • Independent: You prefer to work largely independently without being micromanaged.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
  • Available for travel to MJBiz events occasionally.
This is a full-time position based in our Denver office. The position offers a competitive salary and bonus commensurate with experience, flex time, paid time off, 401(k) and health benefits.
