ABLE is committed to protecting and maintaining the health and safety of our students, employees, families, and greater school community.  We are likewise committed to providing the best possible learning environment to empower our students to learn, grow, and succeed.  There are many, many factors being weighed as we decide how to move forward with school reopening.  The circumstances surrounding reopening are constantly shifting, and we again need every ABLE family's input to inform our planning.

While the full details of our campus reopening plan are still under consideration, we know our plan will include the following:

• masks required of everyone while on campus
• everyone screened daily upon arrival to campus
• anyone failing the screening sent home immediately
• anyone displaying symptoms during the school day would be isolated pending being picked up
• hybrid model allowing families to choose distance learning or on-campus learning
• class sizes to allow for social distancing (masks but no plexiglass partitions)
• staggered break times to reduce contact
• recommended cleaning of surfaces throughout the day

To be clear: Upon reopening ABLE will employ recommended best practices for distancing, masking, modeling, hand sanitizing, screening, and disinfecting the campus; however ABLE WILL NOT retrofit classrooms with additional equipment.
