What's New?

1. Fibrinogen Concentrate (RiaSTAP) is now being stocked in the LWHA blood banks
2. The blood test (Fibrinogen, Clauss) is now being completed in Stratford.

How to Order in Cerner:

Physician Fibrinogen Level Order: If the Physician wants to order a Fibrinogen blood test they will order it as 'Fibrinogen, Clauss (FIBC)

Physician Product Order: When the Physician wants to order Fibrinogen Concentrate (RiaSTAP) they will use the order of 'BLOOD TRANSFUSION- Fibrinogen Concentrate (FC)- Full Protocol' and complete and sign the order.

Nurse Pick-Up Order: When the nurse is ready to pick up the product from the lab they would enter LM/WD pick up by ward, Fibrinogen Concentration (same as current process for all blood products)
